=== Short biography === Rafael Villalobos was born in a family whose members practiced music in Cañada de Ramírez, Municipality of Numarán in Michoacán. He is a multi-instrumentist that went in Mazatlán to make studies and first seek a position as drummer before becoming a professional sousaphone player. Sousaphones are commonly referred to as "Tuba" in Mexico and the musicians as "Tuberos". Rafael Villalobos played with Banda CR (La Piedad de Cabadas, Michoacán), Banda Guarecita (Cañada De Ramírez), Arturo Roque (Mazatlán), Banda Perla del Pacífico de Julio Preciado, Banda La Ejecutiva and Banda Rancho Viejo.
