French indie trio of early-mid 1990s. Only officially released two tracks, on the [http://musicbrainz.org/release/a0bb8e70-4358-44c9-81e2-a293566f67b1.html|Shimmies in Super 8] double pack. Reviewing the ramshackle one-chord guitar racket that was Darlin's contribution, a UK journalist dismissed the songs as "daft punk". The band ground to a halt shortly afterwards, and the members pursued other projects, namely [http://musicbrainz.org/artist/056e4f3e-d505-4dad-8ec1-d04f521cbb56.html|Daft Punk] and [http://musicbrainz.org/artist/8d455809-96b3-4bb6-8829-ea4beb580d35.html|Phoenix]. The Shimmies EP contained inserts designed by Guy-Manuel and some copies contained a bright yellow Darlin' sticker. This very sticker can be seen in a photo on the gatefold version of 'Homework'.
