Munehiro Narita was a Japanese guitarist and composer, best known as the guitarist of High Rise, the duo/ensemble formed with bassist Asahito Nanjo. He was a central figure in the Japanese underground psychedelic and noise rock scene, developing a distinctive high‑energy guitar style characterized by speed, distortion, and improvisational freedom. In addition to his work with High Rise, Narita recorded and performed under his own name, releasing both studio and live works that showcased his unique musical language. In his later years he continued to create and refine his music independently, producing new material and mixes that reflected his artistic vision.
