Mainly a big band musician, Mr ''Dennis''' trombone is to be heard in a number of prestigious formations (''Gerry Mulligan'', ''Claude Thornhill'', ...). He also wandered with ''Mingus'' (''Ah Um''), and features in good place on the remarquable ''Four Tombones'' (''Debut''). Unfortunately, he only recorded very few sessions as a leader (well forgotten somewhere in the ''Savoy'' catalog), and died relatively young in tragic circunstances.
