While his name is mostly associated with ''John Coltrane's'' quartet, ''Jimmy Garrison'' also left us other important contributions. His appearances on ''Coleman'' formations, just next to like-minded drummer ''Elvin Jones'' are fine moments in ''Ornette's'' discography. He also worked with ''Kenny Dorham'', ''Lennie Tristano'', ''Jackie McLean'', and later with ''Shepp'' and ''Sanders''. A gifted bassist, who unfortunately died too young.
