=== Short biography === '''Loreto Sánchez Salazar''' was born in September 1923 in Concordia, Sinaloa, from a dynasty of local musicians. In 1952, Don Cruz Lizárraga invited him to join Banda Sinaloense El Recodo, where he established himself as one of the regionally most popular trumpet players. His personal style, influenced the later banda interpretation of melodies such as "El Niño Perdido," "El Toro Mambo," and "Dos Palomas al Volar". He left Banda El Recodo in 1969, to cure stomach cancer and launched Banda de los Hermanos Sánchez in 1973, where he performed alongside his sons : * María de Jesús (vocals), * Antonio (trumpet), * Ignacio (trombone), * and Francisco (percussion and vocals). On March 25, 1976, he founded the first Unified Union of Musicians, Section 368, where he served as General Secretary. This position led to his subsequent appointment as a city councilman, taking office on January 1, 1978, in the municipal government of Professor Antonio Vizcarra Valenzuela. He was unable to complete his term due to the illness that took his life. His memory lives on in all the residents of Concordia and his fellow citizens, as '''"The Joyful Trumpet of Sinaloa."''''
