In September of 1986, Krist moved back to Aberdeen after 6 months in Phoenix looking for work. Buzz Osbourne (of the Melvins) introduced him to Kurt. The group played together for a month or two before deciding on the name "Stiff Woodies". They played one concert under this name at the Pourhouse in Aberdeen, WA at some point in 1986 after Robert McFadden had left the group. No bootleg of this concert exists.
