A long time friend of ''Albert Ayler'', ''Charles Tyler'' is one of the unfairly forgotten soldiers of the jazz history. Baritonist, he played quite a bit with ''Ayler'', ran a few gigs with ''Cecil Taylor'' and other cats of the free era, and recorded his own sessions for ''ESP'' and ''Sonet''.
