== Biographical notes == === Early years === Noé Montaño was born in Mazatlan, but lived for 15 years in Tijuana, because his parents settled there. His father was a musician and a singer, as well as two of his elder brother. His nickname, "El 14" (El quatorcito) went from the fact that he started to perform when he was thirteen. [artist:0556bfcd-52d0-4ec2-953d-52e93f2d2447|Pancho Barraza] was his music teacher, trainer and lifelong supporting friend. He performed in technobanda [artist:797f6626-4bbb-48ff-8004-ae20518c8635|Mr Lobo], that was then managed by [artist:fc1a8819-ecd2-4ac6-9f37-fbd577d130f1|Alberto Lizárraga Lizárraga] and his son [artist:fed61096-eead-4ac1-9327-d2177b64fcfc|Alberto Lizárraga Torres], when [artist:5caded0e-12c5-40f6-a1f7-1d1fbb537c07|Julión Álvarez] and [artist:38a11e4c-0d64-409f-b56e-6d70cea326d2|Geovanni Mondragón] were the usual singers, and when [artist:7905a535-3b96-4455-ad3a-5dd869c192d4|Alan Ramirez], who was playing the trumpet in the band, started recording a few songs. His professional career really started in Los Angeles as a recording session musician. Because he was experienced in the technobanda style, he had the opportunity of working with famous bands of the duranguese style like [artist:337609a2-6b4b-45ee-822c-62b7f727bca8|Montéz de Durango]. === In Banda El Recodo === He returned in Mazatlan, where he participated at recording with [artist:5fd6ab4e-ddb1-45d4-ae4f-4c475081a8f2|Germán Lizarrága], the album "Historia de mi vida", which brought the attention of the intermediate managers of [artist:1e7b781d-2616-4d8a-b194-99ace90659e2|Banda el Recodo]. He was a longtime friend of [artist:939ba746-06c6-430c-aee6-4e418d721563|Carlos Sarabia] and [artist:a767cd44-1485-4e64-9d18-40c359f18b98|Joel Lizarrága] which helped it become a musician in Banda El Recodo where he became of friend of many other musicians like [artist:5818ffad-9825-4de9-91ea-290316d701b5|Alex Ojeda] and [artist:f2b04cb-c96c-45f9-a847-9c2855e56a87|Luis Antonio López]. He report having been fired from Banda El Recodo, because of in comprehensions between him and the middle management, rather than conflict with the executive and [artist:78b9af7c-4653-4573-b6db-762dc231ad71|Poncho Lizarrága] who was the musical of the orchestra and far to busy too control everything. Furthermore, he describes the end of his work relationship with Banda El Recodo as traumatic and depressing because it perceived it as a personal failure. But he got support from musician friends who remained in the orchestra or had left it for various reasons as well. === El Coyote y su Banda Tierra Santa === He then started working with [artist:89e9f9fe-c802-4541-b706-d97ca3040c4b|José Ángel Ledesma], "El Coyote". He describes their relationship as "an old married couple", alternating between noisy conflicts and friendly reconciliations. He interrupted the work relationship after six years, for creating with other musician friends the orchestra [artist:15ff2728-c9e7-48ec-a45a-8b2df90e1af2|Banda La Sinaloense de Mazatlán]. But resumed the collaboration for two more years when the project collapsed. === Banda La Sinaloense de Mazatlán === On March, 9, 2011, he was wounded during the attack that killed his friends [artist:5b9c06f6-0daa-44af-bc59-ca140c7a6b76|Alberto Lizárraga Jr.] and Gustavo Gárate Terán when they were leaving the place in which they had played music. A bullet entered into one of his scapulae and ended within one of his lungs.
