Absu started off as [https://musicbrainz.org/artist/93253c9b-f91c-4852-8ccd-d5820e8dbd58|Dolmen] in 1989 but would change their name to Azathoth then Eternus and finally Necrotic in 1990. Necrotic eventually ended up changing names in 1991 to Absu.
