Discovered by notorious French rock magazine Les Inrockuptibles in 2006, In The Club added their first track “She’s a Man” to the selection CQFD just one year after the band was created. After an intense gigging period (Panik at L’Elysée Montmartre, Le Paris Paris, La Flèche d'Or, Le Nouveau Casino, L’EMB, Le Batofar, etc.) and a couple of key warm-up slots (Asian Dub Foundation, Dragonette, Forward Russia and New Young Poney Club), they became notorious in Paris. In June 2008, they presented their first single “Turn You On”, a straight rocky club track with of course the heritage of French electro scene but also a blend of various pop influences like Phoenix and The Rapture. Headman, Mowgli, John Paradox and Donovan were seduced and have given the package a set of superb club remixes. All in all a very strong release of “Rock dansant” like the French call it. For September 2009, In The Club release their album “Seduce’n Destroy” with the producer Tore Johansson (Franz Ferdinand & The Cardigans).
