Started playing drums at the age of 14. Joined his first band at 18 whilst at teaching college. Taught in London where he played in and recorded with several London bands whilst still teaching. Left teaching in 1968 and turned professional. Played in a London band called Mustard before joining [artist:36b1ac7c-8cd9-4c38-b0e9-53972b3e6bec|Cressida]. Went on to play with Uriah Heep. Now lives in the Scottish Highlands.
