Avantho is an international heavy metal and melodic power metal band founded on June 27, 2025. The project is characterized by its bi-national nature, maintaining operational and creative bases in both Mexico and Spain. The band was formed in mid-2025; Mexican musicians Juan Mexía (guitar), Mael López (bass), and Alejandro Torres "Yotas" (drums) joined forces with Spanish vocalist Nacho Ruiz (formerly of bands such as Arwen, Santelmo, and Perfect Smile) to launch a new musical venture. On July 11, 2025, the band released its debut single, "Arde con Fervor," on digital platforms. This track established the group's sonic identity, defined by the rhythmic speed of power metal and lyrics focused on elements of nature and personal growth. Subsequently, the project expanded its catalog with the release of a second single, "Contra el Viento."
