New Way Home are a four piece metal outfit from Auckland, New Zealand formed at the beginning of 2002 from the ashes of various metal and hardcore bands with the most notable being Day One and Sommerset. Their style is a mix of concrete heavy metal and pounding hardcore riffs alongside sporadic moments of melodic beauty, which together has brought them a league of loyal fans to their shows. Priding themselves on rock solid live performances and constant touring, New Way Home work hard to deliver new material written with band organics in place of limited structuring. The result of 3 years work has produced their debut EP Anomaly which fuses crowd favourites “2.0.5” alongside the riff busy “Apocalypse”. Some shows these gentlemen have supported include Fear Factory, Vision of Disorder, One King Down, Sick Of It All, Brutal Truth and Mindsnare, as well as playing Big Day Out and Warped Tour. If you’re a fan of being clubbed across the mask with the musical equivalent of a sledgehammer and throw your set in the air to the likes of Meshuggah, Failure and Sepultura, you should be booking a piece of pavement outside your local record store to lineup for this aural monsters release.
